Woodrow W. Walker came onto my SciFi HQ site the other day letting everyone  know  about his new short story called "Starship Pegasus in Freefall".  While I have not yet read it, I do plan on it as it is a short story and should not take much time to read (16 pages).  Here is the description he gave for the book:

Starship Pegasus in Freefall is a Sci-fi story. Matt Hudson had dreamed of going on the first starship. He gets his wish but some wishes come with a high price tag. As the Pegasus leaves our solar system on a thousand year voyage that would seem like ten years to those on board with Matt at the helm he comes to know absolute loneliness. As the only person not in suspended animation Matt is tempted into doing the unthinkable
