I am sure many of you, just like me wonder why the American flag on military fatigues are backwards on the right arm. After lots of searching the net, I found out that it dates back to when flags were carried into battle. When a flag is carried into battle and viewed from the right side, it is backwards (the stars are heading into battle). When a flag patch is on the left shoulder, it is displayed like we are use to seeing it. Basically picture a flag attached to a standard flag pole and a soldier running into battle carrying it. The stars of the American flag are “running into battle” first. So the standard military uniform keep this tradition so that the stars are always pointing to the front of the uniform. Per the official Army guidelines “the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward.”Another note about the patches, they are trimmed in gold because the military American flag is portrayed with a golden fringes. Was instituted by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1959 and only to be used for the US Armed Forces… though is commonly disobeyed by our courts in the US where you can find many courts donning the gold fringed US Flag (and are only permitted during courts-martial).

 I hate computers. If I could, I would travel back in time and tell myself not to get involved with them. They are nothing but a headache. My home computer is TOAST for no reason at all… wont power up. Guess i”m in the market for another power supply.

A lady goes into Wal-Mart and tells the clerk she wants a refund for the toaster she bought because it doesn”t work. The clerk tells her that he can”t give her a refund because she bought it on special. All of a sudden, the woman throws her arms up in the air and starts screaming, “GRAB MY BREASTS! GRAB MY BREASTS!”

The clerk, not knowing what to do, runs to get the store manager. The manager comes up to the woman and asks, “What’s wrong?” She explains the situation with the toaster. He tells her that he can’t give her a refund because she bought it on special. Once again, the woman throws arms up in the air and starts screaming, “GRAB MY BREASTS! GRAB MY BREASTS!”

In shock, the store manager pleads, “Ma’am, why are you saying that?”

In a huff, the woman says, “BECAUSE, I LIKE TO HAVE MY BREASTS GRABBED WHEN I’M GETTING SCREWED!”

— Her money was refunded.

I should never read the news because someone or something always ticks me off. Apparently, Californians will not stop at the pledge of allegiance. They are now attacking documents that make this country free such as the “Declaration of Independance” all because they reference GOD.’, ‘Patricia Vidmar, the principal of Cupertino’s Stevens Creek School, has banned the following documents as “hand outs” to supplement social studies classes:
Declaration of Independance
various state constitutions
George Washington’s journal
John Adams’s diary
writings by William Penn
She banned them because, “many original source documents from the founding era contain references to God and Christianity.”

This all came to fruition when teacher Steven Williams decided to use a proclamation from President George W. Bush dealing with the National Day of Prayer. Apparently a parent became upset that Williams handed out a copy of the proclamation to his students and ever since Vidmar has been censoring Williams’ lesson plans to exclude important historic documents based on if they reference God or Christianity. Other teachers are not required to under go this scrutiny and Williams is only being scrutinzed because he is an “orthodox Catholic.” Steven Williams has been a 5th grade teacher at Stevens Creek for 6 years and has recently just come under this scrutiny for passing out these documents as supplements to his lessons.

Yes, everyone has a right, but I do not think it fair that people are walking all over mine to change our nations history to fit into there own twisted point of view. Leave history alone and let it be taught truthfully and without censorship. This is crazy and I just know that this will snowball just like the “Pledge of Allegiance” issue did.
