Back when I was playing EverQuest one of the worst things was “Spawn Camping.” Spawn camping is when you sit in a certain spot waiting for the proper NPC, beast, what have you to appear. I always hated spawn camping and is one of the reasons I do not play Everquest today.
Now, you ask, why are you telling me this. The point of the previous paragraph was to point out that Police officers are spawn campers in the avenue of everyday life. They sit on the side of the road waiting for a speeder to spawn or sit in a white van waiting for a certain criminal to spawn. It turns out that a police officers life can be equated to a video game, EverQuest. Yes. EverQuest.
In EverQuest you have quests, in police work, you have cases. In EverQuest you have class trainers, in police work as well. In EverQuest, the more you use your weapon, the better you get. The same is true for police work. In EverQuest you have “epics”, in police work you do as well. In EverQuest you have guilds, in police work you have departments.
So all you gamers, tired of sittin on your arse in front of a computer? Play the real game. The game of life and sign up to be a police officer.
